FLUENT Erosion DPM (Methane with Sand) - Strange Erosion Contours
Hello all,
I intend to model sand laden flow in a pipe of a certain complex geometry, and have more less followed the tutorial here (www.cfluid.com/batch.download.php?aid=642) except with a different erosion correlation (Det Norske Veritas's) and with a different flow condition of methane gas instead of water. The computed velocity flow field seemed fine. Below are the velocity contours and the erosion contours I computed, of which the erosion contours are obviously wrong (negative erosion?). However, I am unable to find the problem with my simulation and hope that someone here can enlighten me. http://blog-imgs-53.fc2.com/o/m/a/om...7164055c81.jpg Velocity Contours http://blog-imgs-53.fc2.com/o/m/a/om...7164017c3a.jpg Erosion Contours Many thanks in advance. |
Dear Chongjqw,
Could you please send me the tutorial I cannot access the link ? www.cfluid.com/batch.download.php?aid=642 |
Can you show us the correlation you used and specify which parameters did you input in the wall boundary conditions for walls?Probably the problem is there (equation or units).

Dear Daniele,
If I have 2 phases -Primary Phase - water -Secondary Phase - CaCO3 Can Accretion Model simulate the particle or granular of CaCO3 deposit to the wall which the excessive CaCO3 enough to block primary phase and cause clogging ? You can see my attachment for explanation. Best Regards, Yannapol S. |
