Playback animation mesh

When using a dynamic mesh, is it possible to record the transient changes in the mesh?

Is it possible to save a picture of the mesh each time FLUENT remeshes?

Hi Anna Sofia,

You can define an animation at Calculation Activities/Solution Animation- Create/edit
You can choose how often (iterations or timesteps) you want to save a picture, and you can select the picture format, the camera viewpoint, the variable, etc. at Define.
You can animate all the frames later on in Graphics and Animations/Solution Animation Playback.

Hope this helps

Or if you want to use third party softwares for post-processing, as tecplot for example, you have to save both cas files (in which you save each step of "the dynamic mesh") and dat files (in which you save solutions).
Then you will import cas and dat files and you can create mesh animation; without cas files your mesh will not move.
