Hey guys,
is it possible to get a 3D cylindric view of a 2D axissymetric simulated case? Thanks in advance Tom |

I dont know if this is possible in Fluent directly (doubt it) but if you load the results of an axisymmetric Fluent simulation in CFD Post the software transforms it to a 7.5 degree slice of a 3D domain.
All you have to do now is insert 48 instances of this domain. In the details view of the domain (get it by double-clicking on it) you can perform this type of operation. Set the number of instances to 48, the axis of rotation to the x-axis and the instance definition to full circle. |

Yes, Alex's advice is the only solution I have too.
I confirm that you cannot have a 3d view of a 2d case directly in fluent. |

Sorry for reply on old post but I want to know if it is possible to use 2d axisymmetric result for 3d full circle initialization in fluent software?
