hello, i have a small doubt..i am simulating conjugate heat transfer, in this a fluid flows through a pipe and the pipe is attached to a plate, i want to just see how the temperature of the plate varies with time, how and where do i set the initial temperature of the plate, the fluid inlet temperature is 1000 K, in my solution, it is taking the initial temperature of the solid at t=0, not as 298 K , but at 1000K itself, please could you help me

Hello adytia,
I suggest setting Flow temperature as boundary condition, then set 298 K in the Solution Initialization Menu - Initial Values (Patch Submenu also could be useful in your case) for the plate

Regards

Hello,

I tried it , but it does not take it, when i put 298 K as initial condition, it takes the entire solid at 298 K ,and never changes at all, for the rest of the simulation, even i apply convective boundary condition on the other boundary, i hav attached images for your reference, pls have a look

this mite be because, i did not create named selections for the solid domain..ill do that and tell you
