simple question abour diffusion terms(urgent)
Hi,
In Fluent 6.3.26, I have used second-order upwind for momentum discretization and the SIMPLE procedure for velocity-pressure coupling. Does it mean that diffusion terms are second-order upwinded? In fact, I do not know whether diffusion terms are second-order upwinded or central differenced in the Fluent. How can I address Slope limiting schemes in Fluent? As far as I know, Slope limiting schemes is used only when momentum equations are discretized with MUSCL. So, I think Slope limiting schemes is not used in my case since momentum equations are discretized with second-order upwind. Is it right? I need these answers for my close thesis defense, so it would be great to help me in finding the answers. Thank you so much in advance. |
To your first question: At least in later versions of Fluent, diffusion is always central differenced.
