Hello,

I have created an animation of an airflow by Fluent. And I can read this animation by the software Fluent but now I wish to play it without using Fluent. So is it possible? For example, I would like to play it with VLC for example so that I can show the video during a presentation for my studies.
Any suggestion would be great !

From the post above:
change to mpeg and click write

mpeg is a video format.

Anyway, if you have the image sequence you can use quicktime (for example) to play the animation and save to the format you want (mov, mpeg, avi, etc.).
You can use also virtualdub to make the video from images; just search in google for "virtualdub creating an AVI from a series of images".

An other opinion to create a videofile is using a programm named: "CFD-Post".
To do so, you must let Fluent write the data in the correct format:
Fluent -> Calculation Activities -> Automatic Export -> Create -> File Type: CFD-Post Compatible
In CFD Post its possible to render videos via keyframing with lots of animation effects and stuff like Streamlines, Volume Rendering and so on...
