Hi all,

I calculated 3 versions of a reducing elbow for pressure drops. First I set the outlet for avg pressure 0, inlet for velocity. Then, because the application is for 250kPa, I set outlet for 250kPa. Now the trouble is, I got 300/900/900 Pa pressure drop at 0Pa outlet, but 3100/2900/2900 at 250kPa, so all off sudden the best elbow becomes the worst. The avg velocity difference is 14.7/14.2/14.2 m/s.

Is the 0Pa result more plausible or the 250kPa?

Thanks,

Steffen
