Erosion Rate using CFD

Hi there I am a final year mechanical engineering student currently working on my thesis. The study is on the erosion rate of an abrasive particle air jet (like a water jet cutter but with air)

I am trying to study the erosion rate on different materials and it was suggested that I use ANSYS, however I am struggling to get to grips with the program, though I am researching it and trying to follow tutorials etc. One significant problem which I cannot understand is the difference between ANSYS CFX and Fluent.

Would someone be kind enough to outline what the difference between ANSYS CFX and ANSYS Fluent is and what erosion capabilities are available? Any tutorial links will be most welcome!

Thanks
Al
