Patch flow in batch mode

Hello
I want to simulate a three-phase flow by fluent in batch mode without graphic. I know how the flow can be initialized. This is the script:
............script...........
rc bed.cas
/solve/initialize/initialize-flow
/solve/iterate 100
/file/write-data bed1
exit
yes
..................................
But I need to assign a volume fraction to a zone of my field. It can be done by patch window in fluent. solve/initialize/patch
How can I enter this command to above script?

Dear Majid,

Do anything you want by TUI in FLUENT console then put your written commands in TUI in your script.

I have no idea about that command. It seems like this:
solve/initialize/patch...
but I don't know the exact one.

This is:

Code:

/solve/patch

then, enter your domain ID and then variable.
As I said before, examine this procedure in TUI first and then put it in your script!

Hi

I wondered if I could ask how you got your variable to sit in the code, I am trying to patch in the premixed combustion model with a value of 1, i have part of it right but fluent doesnt seem to like how im writing the variable

/solve/patch/(16) this bit is fine but if I try
/solve/patch/(16)/premixc

it all fails

Hopefully I'm missing a bit of formatting

I am simply trying to patch an initial temperature to multiple domains in batch mode.

What I have so far is

/solve/patch/(2,3,4,5) 500

Is this correct does anyone know?

Hi

I think this is right but you will have to check it is from memory, if you boot up the fluent gui you can run it from the tui window so you can check all your bits of code prior to using it in batch mode. Granted that only works if you have access to the GUI as well, I was using a cluster in batch mode but had in on my comp so was able to check things once I realised (took me a while).

Anyway your bit of code:

/solve/patch/(Zone_1,Zone_2,Zone_3) temperature 500

Where the zone_1 etc are the name of your cell zones
