Hey Guys,

im really new to CFD-Simulation. Though i dont have acces to the Ansys Customer Portal i just started trying some things...
Right now I´m doing a 2d-Simulation of a compression in a chamber.

RCM.jpg

I use Ansys Workbench 14.5 and designed the half of the geometry(axissymetric) and the mesh with Ansys.I seperated the geomatry in 5 surfaces and connected them with interfaces. I used quadrilateral meshing with a higher density near the interfaces. Mesh Check was positive.

In the setup I used Dynamic Meshing,In-Cylinder-Motion and Layering as Mesh-Method.

When I start the the calculation i get following message:

Error: replace_c_in_f_layering: cell of wrong type or NULL cell detected at layering zone.

Now I have a few questions:

How can i fix this proplem?

When i check my Zone Motioten...is it normal that I can only see the top surface that is not deformed?

How can i get acces to the data of the Ansys Customer Portal to do some Tutorials?

If I use the Mesh-Motion function i get the message: Note: zone-surface: cannot create surface from sliding interface zone. Creating empty surface.
Is this a big problem?

If you have some tips for me I would like to hear them.
Thanks Guys

My simulation seems to work now, but during the calculation i get another error...

Error writing "| gzip -2cfv > C:\Users\xxxx\xxxx\xxx\xxx\dp0\FFF\Fluent\FFF.1-1-01200.cas.gz".

Anyone knows what this is?
