Diiference between wall and wall shadow
 
I am simulating a building.I want to find the temperature of the roof in presence of both short wave and longwave radiation. BUt temperature of the building and the roof are decresing inspite of presence of short wave radiation....I am not able to understand roof and roof shadow and i want to know wheter i am makin mistake in defining roof and roof shadow. please help me to understand this

Thanks for the reply.
Even after increasing the thickness of the roof.The increase in temperature of roof is of the atmosphere .
