Hi everybody
I'm working on simulation of subcooled boiling in Fluent.my problem involves just natural convection(Twall=Tsat) in enclosure with air in above it, for this Im using vof model.my subcooled level (Tbulk-Tsat) is 20C,Boussinesq approximation is used for the water density and ideal gas for air.all of the enclosure walls are Insulated and heater is inside the water.im running transient solver,
how can i imposed subcooled level in fluent??????????
i used patch but doesnt work,
Indeed air above the water should not sense the temperature change quickly(
according to articles) but in my problem air temperature changes like water temperature.
please help me????
(this problem is an expremental work that i want model numerically)

Here you go:
1)Patch the temperature in the subcooled water regieme.
2)Use two phases
liquid water
gas air and water steam
3) Use a latent heat of water and fed it into water enthalpy energy and put the value of 0 for water vapour. This will do the energy balance for vaporization.
4) For heat transfer use renz-marshel between the two phases.

I hope it will work.
Get back to me if any problem persists.

Regards
shk

thanks shoeb khan for your tips
but my problem is natural convection<not boiling and phase change>
im solving two phase because air is abave the cavity,
i dont know how imposed subcooled level in my problem
