I am somewhat new to Fluent, have been using mainly EDGE in the past year. I have had an introductory course to fluent, and am now trying to improve my skills a bit. I know the reference value for length is critical in arriving at the correct Cl Cd Cm values when you set the monitors. I have a 2D 3-element airfoil (slat, main body, flap) which is extended for takeoff conditions. Do I set the reference length to be the entire length of the airfoil from leading to trailing edge, or do I sum the chord lengths of each of the 3 components? Thanks in advance.
