3d tank how to set initial liquid level

HI GUYS,
I am modeling a settling tank with an initial level of water of say 1 meter. A denser liquid is been poured into the tank from a higher inlet. I have been having problems when setting the initial water level. When I run the simulation the liquid being poured goes to the bottom of the tank. My question is how can I set cell zones for a specific liquid in 3D? What I have been doing is making a 3D solidpart in Design Modeler then defining the body as fluid in cell zone condition in Fluent. There is no error when running the simulation, but when viewing the results it is clear that the denser liquid goes straight to the bottom of the tank as if it was filled with air (there is no concentration of water at 1 meter or below).

Please I need some help

hi,
you can use adapt tool to mark the region where you want specify the initial level of lower denser fluid, just mark it and dont adapt it. then you ca use patch option from solution initialiastion to specify your volume fraction of the fluid.

Thank you! It worked just as easy as in 2D
