Hi all,
I am working on temperature distribution of solid having 1473K melt glass in its center.I have defined wall boundary conditions in some faces of solid( trivial faces). That's why you could see 323K temperature in attached first photo. (Blue colour is seen in PP). thing I want to specify was only initial temperature for the boundary condition. But temperature value in those faces was constant according to defined time. Similarly, second attached photo is to be seen 1473K because of wall boundary condition. Both problems influence convective heat transfer in trivial ways. Remaining photos are enough for me. kind of correct (depending on mesh) |

Initial conditions have to be set by initialization/patch.
BCs are held constant unless you have a udf to change it in a time dependent manner. |

I have defined temperature in regarding zone. Similarly, it should be given in another zone, too. How can I add ''register to patch'' in patch view.
I see what you said. But some faces are trivial. I had to do/draw them because of being real one. Then the best bc's given them are wall. and they all fixed in all calculation. as far as I know , answer is how I can add regarding zones registers to patch in patch view. |

Are you talking about cell zones? I thought you wanted to set initial temperature on a wall. Registers are created using cell adaptation tools in the "adapt" menu. |

How can I use '' cell adaptation tools'' in adapt.
Now, I am checking it and ? |

Yes I am trying to give initial temperature for a wall.
