Hello guys,

I am simulating a centrifugal compressor via Ansys fluent 15,grid created by Pointwise and two zones are defiened, Impeller and Diffuser.
when I check the type and material of boundaries in Fluent, I see that the material of the walls is air! but type is wall.
Both solid and fluid materials are defined in fluent.
I would appreciate if somebody can quid me in this case.

pakk will become famous soon enough
If the material of the wall is not what you want, then just change it...

alirezame, were you able to change it?

I have the same problem. On my desktop the wall material is aluminum, but once uploaded on a cluster it is changed to air.
I can't really figure out how to change it back, let alone change it back with TUI.

Since I only have fluid zones, I can not just change one cell zone to another material... zones 'solid' and 'les' need to be fluid, flap faces need to be wall, but with aluminum material.

Usually it doesn't even matter what wall material is. The wall material is only needed for cases when the "wall thickness" property is non-zero 0, for example modelling contact resistances or conduction thicknesses, or thin shell conduction at interfaces. Are you sure you need to change it? That is, is your "wall thickness" property not 0?

Otherwise, you can define a new fluid material. (/define/materials/ ...) and then change the wall-material by modifying the boundary conditions.
