Hi,
I have a simple question: What is the difference between periodicity boundary condition and symmetry boundary condition. Thanks.

Hi,

For a periodic boundary condition you need two faces. Everything that leaves the domain through face A will directly enter the domain through face B.
Symmetry boundary condition means, that everything is symmetric at that face, which means a zero gradient for some values (Temperature, density, pressure, ...). All fluxes are zero here.
