Hello, I am trying to analyze the flow through a catalyst. I do the mesh the interior volume separating the inlet pipe, the catalyst volume, and the outlet pipe.
The problem is when I pass it to Fluent, since in "Boundary Conditions", the contact surfaces are considered as 'wall', instead of 'interior'. When ANSYS does the mesh, it creates two contact surfaces, but I supose it isn't enough. How can I solve this? Thank you very much! |

OK pal,
It seems that there are more than one surface in the mentioned place (it may two surfaces overlap on each other), so you can't distinct them easily. It's a very common mistake during model design which comes from wrong usage of split tool. I had the same problem many times and I resolved it with making some effort. I hope it helps

I have found the problem. I must enable 'Assembly Meshing' in the 'Mesh Details'. The mesh hadn't continuity, so Fluent considered them as wall, that is to say, different objects. Problem solved!! ![]() Kind regards!! |
