Hi to everybody! with Ansys Fluent, i would like to simulate the blockage of particles. I want to force particles to stop when they hit a certain surface. If i set "trap", they disappear from the doman. I want to accumulate particles there in order to have a reduction of the hydraulic diameter...could you help me? can i solve this problem with UDFs? I'm not so expert with CFD...thank u!

Trap is what you need. Escape makes them disappear from domain...

First of all thank U for the answer. The problem is that i want the particles to remain there and accumulate..in order to influence the continue phase. If i set Trap the particles dont remain there! Am i wrong?

I want to simulate the blockage of a channel due to Particles clogging, so i created and internal boundary. Which type of boundary do i have to select for this internal boundary? I was thinking Porous zone(porous jump in 2D) in order to allow the flow of the continue phase and block only particles by setting Trap for the DPM. Do u think it works? Thank u for the ready answer!
