hi i am working on liquid flowing inside the pipe,3-d,laminar and transient type,i want to find the velocity vectors in z-direction,because the flow in z-direction with g value -9.8,i am giving pressure at inlet, can i use ENERGY equation here?generally when we use the energy equation?
and i got velocity magnitude for VECTORS and CONTOURS is different from each other? is this values from obtained from VECTORS and CONTOURS should be same or not? and when we use VECTORS and CONTOURS in solution. pls clarify my doubts. |

As you seem to be a beginner let's just say that enabling Energy equation let's you define temperatures at your BC and you will be able to do heat transfer problems. Without it I think you are assuming it to be temperature independent.
I cannot understand how you are comparing values in contour and vector plots, these are for representation only. Take actual values from results tab for comparison. |
