hi
I am trying to simulate the mass transfer between a liquid desiccant flowing downwards and humid air flow upwards next to the liquid. Does anyone have any idea of the main models that i need to use and if i need any UDS or UDF. Also the material properties of the moist air will be a mixture of water vapour and air, but for the aqueous liquid, i need to define a mass concentration eg 30% mass conc. Does anyone know how i would go about doing that as there is no option to change or even define the concentration of the liquid/ solution. Any help will be great thanks |

Hi, if it is about two mixing phases and one phase kept separate, use the interMixingFOAM solver but adjust the alphaEqns.H to keep concnetrations bound and mass conserved. However, note that with high diffusion constants you may still loose mass with that approach.
