Hello friends,
I am working on a multiphase problem with the Eulerian Model. I want to freeze the velocity field of the solid phase, and it is said in the User's Guide that “7. (optional) Turn on the Packed Bed option if you want to freeze the velocity field for the granular phase. Note that when you select the packed bed option for a phase, you should also use the fixed velocity option with a value of zero for all velocity components for all interior cell zones for that phase.”But after I have turned on the Packed Bed option and begun to calculate, the velocity field is still solved in every iteration and cannot be fixed. Maybe it is because that I cannot find the "fixed velocity option" in Fluent, dose anyone know what should I do about that? I am quite new to this model, and I am looking forward to your help. With advanced thanks! |

you can freeze the velocity by going to:
Cell zone conditions>phase (which need to gave zero velocity)> edit>mark fixed values>put x and y velocities to constant (zero). I hope this helps! |
