Tracer is on a distinguished road
Hello Everyone,
I'm a doing research on optimizing a reactor. I am the person working in the lab. I'm not sure how to use the data that I have received from the person running the CFD simulation It is the output from a tracer study simulation.

What is convergence history of scalar 0 on inlet/outlet?

What is the area-weighted average scalar? and the units for flow time?

I need to compare this data with my RTD which I generated in the lab. I treated the data from the CFD model as raw concentration data however it was off by an order of magnitude which leads me to believe I am using the data incorrectly. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks

There are many factors on model validation. But first of all, have you normalized the two sets of tracer data before doing comparison?

John,
I did normalize the data, I treated the data from the simulation outlet as if it was raw data from a concentration vs time curve. I generated the E(t). The shape is the same in both cases however they are off by an order of magnitude which is why I am assuming there is something I am not understanding about the output from the simulation.
