hello,
I am trying to mesh a filter holder. I have three parts, the part for the in flow, the filter (which i created it as a surface so as to later define it as porous jump) and the part for the outflow(the meshing tool recognizes the connections in between these parts). However when I am trying to mesh it I receive the following error from fluent Error:The mesh file exporter does not support overlapping geometry in Contact Regions. Please resolve the issue and try again. I tried to use the match control but it did not work. I have not set the named section in this step since the solver cannot read my meshing. Can it be the problem? Also, it cannot recognize the filter surface as a surface with 2 faces during the geometrical set up. Since I am new in cfd I cannot completely inspect what is going wrong Any recommendations? Thank you very much |

If you refered to the use of a surface as porus jump, ehat i did is to delete the problematic surface. Thus i have two parts, the upstream and downstream part. Then i create a new part that i assigned the two separate parts as one. So i can define the interferance of those parts as porus jump.
Hope it can help you |
