Hey guys, I'm new to dynamic mesh and confused about cell zone conditon->moving wall and dynamic mesh. They both represent moving behavior but when do I use each of them?
Thanks and happy new year~

hey

I think in moving wall, fluent only changes the values of coordinate axes and frames! but in dynamic mesh the grids really move!
so in moving wall there isn't any change in mesh quantities and mesh deformation and mesh generation during running solution! but in dynamic mesh, solver experiences mesh deformation and generation!
and dynamic mesh should solves transient but moving wall usually used for steady problems!
finally moving wall problems are simpler and converge faster than dynamic mesh problems!

Correct me if I'm wrong!

After 2 days of studying on this, I totally agree with you~It's a very comprehensive summary. Thank you a looooott~!!
