Hi everybody,
Does anyone know how I can precribe a turbulent intensity boundary condition at an inlet velocity boundary? I´m trying to model a 3d rectangular channel with a constant flow and constant turbulent intensity of 10% at the inlet. Thank you. Regards, egge24 |

Select a turbulence model then go to inlet boundary condition, at the bottom in first tab select Intensity & Hydraulic diameter and the give the values.
Intensity & viscosity ratio can also be selected if you can calculate them. |

Marauder,
Thank you for your fast response. I did that, but once I run my model in steady state the surface contour of the inlet shows values of Turbulence below 10%, see figure. I want the lowest value of turbulence intensity at the inlet to be 10%. Any ideas? Thank you |
