Hello

I am simulating the cyclone. After convergence when i check the velcoity contours of axial and tangential velocity all over my domain (inlcuding walls, middle plane, horizontal plane in the middle everywhere) the tangential and axial velocities are coming as 0.

I have specified velocity magnitude in the boundary conditions.

Could anyone explain?Thanks
Mohsin

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
If you specified velocity Magnitude in Inlet-velocity BC-Panel, then the vector points normal to the surface.
You can display pathlines from your inlet for checking if flowfield is in accordance to your wish

Do the other parameters of fluid field right?
I guess that the other parameters are also wrong, such as temperature, pressure. You should check them .
If it is , the only explain is that your compution was wrong.
PS,you could monitor a fixed point in fluid field duiring the simultion.Residual is not a good sign to judge the convergence.

yap thank you byron

All other parameters are absolutely fine (surface monitors, residuals, mass flux).

Hello Dear Moshin,
I have the same problem as you. I can not generate radial & tangentical velocity contours, right.
Could you?
please explain your method.
thanks,
