Hi friends,

i have a question about fluent, which meshing size should i use on a flat plate to calculate bounrdary layer thickness for x = 5 m , y = 7,9m ?

Start with a coarse mesh but resolve the near wall region (where you expect the boundary layer to appear). You could either use inflation layers or edge sizing to increase the mesh resolution near the wall. Then perform a mesh independence analysis by refining your mesh and comparing the results of your boundary layer velocity profile to your coarse mesh. Repeat these steps until you reach a converged solution.
