Hi every one !

Sorry to disturb you on something that simple, I am quite new on Fluent.

I have a model with small tubes quite close to each other in order to catch the vorticity inside my geometry (I calculate the torque on these tubes).

When I open Fluent, the software is creating a lot of interfaces between some tubes walls (I have 100 tubes and he creates like 30 interfaces).

Note: I am using WorkBench and ANSYS Meshing, I have created Named surfaces for every thing.

The problem is, I have to delete these one by one and change the property to wall one by one too. Quite long procedure.

So I wanted to know if there is such an option to deactivate the auto-generating interface or to set the precision gap (when Fluent will consider that two surfaces are an interface)

Sorry for my bad English and thanks you all for your attention.

Thomas

Hello Thomas!!

You can delete the unwanted/extra interfaces in Ansys meshing itself. It will save you a lot of time while setting up case in fluent.

Hi Vasava,
Thanks a lot for your help. It is the connection stuff in the ANSYS Meshing, isn't it ?

yes it is. You can simply click on the interface title and the interface faces will be highlighted (all the other boundaries will turn transparent).

Also in the details you can check the number of faces etc. In case the interface is not set correctly you can correct it manually.
