FATAL: floating point exception (AMG divergence)
Hi, all.
I'm running a two-way FSI transient analysis. I have pressure at an inlet defined by a UDF. When the magnitude is 70 kPa, the simulation runs swimmingly; but when I use 100 kPa, Workbench yells about a floating point exception and says 'a solver failure occured during the run in the Structural system'. The structural system, however, points to Fluent which reports " Divergence detected in AMG solver: temperature ... Error at Node 0: floating point exception" Is there any way to work around this? Why does increasing the pressure value only result in some temperature error? Any advice would be appreciated, Kegan |
Before this warning, an increasing number of cells were reported as reaching a temperature limit. I was able to view what cells were problematic by using an IsoSurface in CFD-Post. Changing the fluid domain geometry and initializing a dynamic remeshing scheme solved this problem.
