# calculationg heat transfer coefficient in a packe bed

 June 17, 2015, 05:55 calculationg heat transfer coefficient in a packe bed #1 Member   sarah Join Date: Aug 2010 Posts: 42 Rep Power: 15 Hi, I am supposed to simulate heat transfer in a packed bed of fuel spheres. I use FLUENT 14.5. in literature, Heat transfer coefficient is about 20000, but in Fluent , Wall function heat trans coef , it is 300. I know, I should use the following formula to calculate HTC: h = heat_flux / (T(z) - Tbulk(z)) but there is a problem related to heat flux; I don't know how to find it in fluent. should I go the following path to find heat flux? report>fluxes>heat transfer rate> inlet-outlet Thank you
