discrete element method for fixed bed

Hey Guys,

has anybody experience in using the discrete element model (DEM) for fixed beds? I use DPM+DEM to model a fixed bed of relatively large particles (50mm). The model is two-way-coupled. After a few time steps the Simulation get stuck at "advancing dpm injections".

I model fixed bed of relatively large particles (50 mm). After a few time steps the simulation gets stuck at "advancing dpm injections". The time the problem arises varies from 0.16-0.2 s and depends on the settings. I assume this happens when the packed bed exceeds the packing limit. Has anybody similar experiences and may give some advice?

thanks in advance
