how to find heat transfer coefficient

Hello I am simulating a combustion chamber and in it nitrogen flows over some heat carrier. I know the temperature of the air and temperature of the heat carrier. I need to find the heat transfer rate and cofficient from the simulation. Is it possible? The tutorials i have consulted on heat transfer always give the heat transfer values before simulation and then show the heat dispersion. I dont have the heat transfer coefficient i need it from the simulation.

Yes. The heat transfer coefficient is one of the default solution values. But (by default) all heat transfer coefficients are computed from a single reference temperature.

Thats music to my ears. So how do i obtain the value ? Mind you all i am feeding is the temperature of the gas and temperature of the heat carrier.

Setup the problem, make sure you activate energy equation. Solve/iterate.

Then plot surface heat transfer coefficient (it's under the temperature category), export, do whatever you want.

The reference temperature should also be specified in the reference values pane (the default is 288 K I think).

Luckytran information is correct but the heat transfer coefficient is in the wall fluxes tab.

I see thank you both for the information. I am in the middle of a simulation of the combustion chamber i will try to see if i can get the specific details i was aiming at, if not i might need a bit more guidance.
