george_brickhouse is on a distinguished road
Hi there,

I have a "trivial" problem.
There is a heptane pool (e.g. of LxWxH=1.5x0.5x0.1 m). There is a combustion of heptane in air. Heptane is supplied into the pool with the constant flow rate.
I need to model the combustion. However, I have experience in modelling of gaseous fuel combustion only.
Could anyone help and direct me on how to solve this problem in FLUENT? What to start with?
Could this process be simplified to exclude the multiphase modelling since I need the fire distribution and temperatures only? (there is a cylindrical article above the pool on which I need to analyse heat flux).

Thanks in advance,
George
