mohibanwar is on a distinguished road
Hello Everybody,
I am currently using Enhanced Turbulence model with K-Epsilon standard wall treatment?I want to calculate the Convective heat transfer co-efficient across the wall.
I have Two queries for it:
1.Whether i should use the Wall Function Heat Transfer Coefficient or Surface Heat Transfer co-efficient?
2.As there is very fine mesh in vicinity of wall so i used Enhanced wall function.SO if it is better to use Wall Function HTC for fine mesh or not?

Your Kind suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

The surface heat transfer coefficient is most likely the one you are after. The surface heat transfer coefficient is the heat flux divided by the difference between local wall temperature and the reference temperature. Don't forget to specify the reference temperature (in the reference values pane).

The wall function heat transfer coefficient is calculated in terms of the dimensionless inner variables (u*, and T*).
