hey guys,

this is my first thread and i just started working on ansys fluent couple months ago and i have encountered a problem. i have made a geometry, meshed it and run a solution. what i want is the head loss through the pipe which would require the friction factor as hf(head loss) = flv2/2gd .

how do i obtain the value of the head loss through my pipe so that i can further use it to find a good pump for it.

thanks in advance

i think fluent is not suitable for your work ( finding head loss and after that choose pump ) there are a lot software for pipes like pipeflow

by the way for head loss i think you can use wall shear stress and use it to calculate Cf ( Friction Coefficient )
