Calculation stop with ansys fluent windows 8

Angry Calculation stop with ansys fluent windows 8

Hi everybody,
I have problem since I instal ANSYS FLUENT in windows 8.
After several time, or iteration ansys fluent crash, with error, f1 process could not started.
I have this problem for little (1millions of cells) and big (15 millions of cells) cas.
with little cas calculation crash after 1000 iteration, with big cas problem after 300 iteration.
My computer is new, i have 32 go of RAM, someone know and fix this problem ?
It's big problem for me because i cant run calculation for a nigth.....

hi bro,

i advice to change windows 8 to windows 7, because may some not compatible with ansys program. regards

Which version of Fluent are you using?

The problem is likely an mpi fault. Make sure your Fluent & mpi version are supported in windows 8. To check if it's an mpi error, run in serial mode.

Another reason could be overclocked ram which is unstable.

Thanks for answer,

Yes I was investigated on this way, problaby they is a problem with win 8.1.
I'm running Ansys fluent v15.0 v15.7 v16, problem appear for each version.

I will check my mpi version and try to run a serial simulation. If it's running in serial without problem, what can i do ?
