Out-wall modeling in FLUENT

Hi
How can I consider the insulation value (R) for facade wall and overall heat transfer (U) in fluent? I can't find a way to input these data.
Know I input the convection heat transfer coefficient h for outside of the wall, but when we have the thin wall the conduction doesn't affect the model and it doesn't matter if we have insulation material or not.

Thanks.

Hi Nima,

I think you already solved your problems but if not I can give you some suggestions:

1) In my studies I always mesh the solid zones. Then you can give them some material properties (conductivity etc.) and conduction will be considered.
2) If you prefer to use "thin walls" you should not forget to give the wall a thikness and appropriate material properties. Also note that "thin wall treatment" is only available in 3D problems and that it only considers the conduction in thikness-direction.

As I am also quit new to Fluent please feel free to correct me, if I am wrong.

regard
Chris
