seprate space between two parallel plate
 

I want to validate a paper that investigate flow between two parallel plates.
plates have 300mm length. external magnetic field applied to a face between 120mm and 180mm. how can I separate this face from main face and apply external magnetic field?
I can active MHD module and I know where to select external field but I can't separate denoted face.
please help me
