contact detection

Hi everybody
Is it necessary to use UDF to define contact detection and does some on have useful UDF tnx in advance |

I have similar problem, since there is poor information so far for the contact detection feature. For the ones that have access to Ansys customer portal:
Under this link, there is the following training material: https://support.ansys.com/AnsysCusto...g+Mesh%29+14.5 Under Fluent_Dynamic_Mesh_14.5_Part3/lectures_trainee/Lecture8_Videos/ i am very interested in the application of the video 'media11.wmv', which corresponds to the lecture under: Fluent_Dynamic_Mesh_14.5_Part3/lectures_trainee/Fluent_MDM_14.5_L08_UDF.pdf - Dynamic remeshing - 1DoF udf ( under gravity motion ) and - Contact detection are necessary. Dynamic remeshing and under gravity motion works fine. But it would be great if i new what udf they hooked at the contact detection tab  It should be also for tracking the particle rebound. If anyone ever finds out ... please save a lot of people from a lot of trouble :-) |

I am having a similar problem.. I could not figure out how it works.. If you have found out. Please share info.. Thanks for the tutorial info by the way. I could not find it before I will check it.. |

it came to my knowledge that you can put constraint by using contact detection.so if somebody got any information on contact detection udf. please help. i need it urgent. Thanks in advance. Regards Saurabh |
