I have a case file and i want to get length of geometry and some dimensions, is that possible?
If so how please?

Hi,
you have different options:
  • General > Check: gives you the minimum and maximum coordinates of your entire(!) mesh. If your geometry can be derivated from that, this might help.
  • Results > Contours > Contours of...> Mesh >...coordinate. Results in a contour plot where the differenz colors stand for a certain coordinate, depending on the one you chose (e.g. x-coordinate).
  • Import mesh to ICEM CFD (unless you did not use it for your meshing anyways) > use the measuring of length
  • I am not quite sure, but I think CFX has a length scale (as you can see in the Workbench)

unfortunately Fluent does not support an easy way to measure distances and similar. I hope one of the options mentioned above help.

Regards
Dave

let me ask you one more question please, as you said i can import the mesh. So once imported i can modify it? One more thing please, can i import the geometry created in case file to for example ANSYS Design modeller to modify it?
