Converting 3D Model for 2D Analysis

Hi, I am trying to run a 2D analysis and I have a 3D physical model.

could you please specify your problem in details...

I am trying to convert my 3D simulation to the One in the attached Document and not getting a convergence. I think my Physical 2D modelling may be the cause

I have gone through your problem .according to me you are trying to simulate the natural convection heat transfer problem right.so plz select proper material density.you can try with boussinesq approach.

Thanks for going through the document. I selected air as the material and used the boussinesq approach by selecting the gravity option and the full boussinesq in the k-epsilon turbulence model option. What else do I need to do? That's why I think it may be my 2D physical model that is the problem. The diagram seems so simple but how do I take care of the width in 2D?
