Hi,
I am trying to detect a frequency in cavity ,how i can choose the points who give me the dominant frequency.

thank you

This really isn't a question for this community but something that you need to answer on your own.

You are trying to detect a frequency, but of what phenomena? Is it vortex shedding, acoustics, ignition, or what? And the criteria for selecting the points (and variables that need to be monitored) are also entirely up to you but possibly guided by the phenomena. For example I can measure the mean surface temperatures in various places and infer that the Earth is warming. It's completely arbitrary whether I make those measurements on any continent. It depends on what you're trying to evaluate.

Let me give another absurd example: would you try to determine what the frequency of your birthday is by observing flow in a cavity? You can probe the pressure/velocity/temperature all you want but it's unrelated to the fact that there are 365 solar days in a year.

Hi ,
my case is the study of the flow of a jet submerged in a cavity. Under certain conditions, this flow has an oscillatory aspect, so the goal is to spot the dominant frequency.
