Difficulty matching results from published paper - Possible issues with Pressure?
Hi Guys,
I've been working on this issue for a week now and can't figure out where I'm going wrong. I am trying to replicate the results from this paper: Zhang, Y. - Numerical simulation and analysis of aerodynamic drag on a subsonic train in evacuated tube transportation However my results are never tallying up with his and I'm wondering if it has something to do with my case setup. Its getting worrying now that the paper could be wrong or inaccurate? Could someone please have a look at the images below which describe my Fluent setup. I am trying to simulate: 101.325 Pa air environment, steady, incompressible. Density is at 0.001225 due to the pressure, viscosity is at 1.7894 x10 ^-5 Pa.s. I have a feeling it has something to do with the way I have set up pressures (operating, reference, initial gauge pressure). ----------------------------------------------- MESH http://imgur.com/TiLkZGM.png ] http://imgur.com/nbeMYPR.png FLUENT http://imgur.com/Jfyg6Vn.png http://imgur.com/IejSs8V.png http://imgur.com/Cc0WzEO.png http://imgur.com/cK8l9KT.png http://imgur.com/t7j4dDn.png http://imgur.com/NSw8BTB.png http://imgur.com/eBEsyEW.png http://imgur.com/VJqvFbV.png |
