Mass fluxes vs continuity residual (easy for experts)
Dear all,
I am doing pipe simulation with solid particles using Eulerian Granular Model (volume fraction of solids is 60%, very high). As you might know, it is pretty difficult to get a good convergence of continuity in this case. In my simulation it hardly reaches 10^-3. But as I read before, the main parameter is flux which should be less then 1% of any mass flowrate through the pipe. My question is - if I get fluxes less than 1% at 10^-2 of continuity, can I say that solution is converged and the results can be comparable? Or I need to wait until continuity goes at least to 10^-3? Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much in advance. |
I just posted a similar thread regarding mass flux vs cont. residual on a thread above. I'll let you know if I hear anyway regarding this.
