Dear friends,
Since 6 months I'm trying to learn how to do 3D geometry using coronary angiography and intravascular imaging data. For that purpose, theoritically, we should get 3D centerline from 2 seperate angiography projection which will be the skeleton for the intravascular imaging data. Then the intravsacular ultrasound contours will be mounted perpendicularly on to this centerline. Could any friend help me for that 3D vessel modelling? Otherwise I can not do anything in Fluent without geometry I'm a cardiologist and really want to learn this special work.
Kind REgards

Though this is more of a geometric/ 3D modelling question but I'll just have a go at it.. assuming you are still looking for some support... Have you been able to get going with this at all yet..? seems like a hideous but doable task.. could you post some pictures... From what you have mentioned, you would have finite but large no. of 2D cross sections (highly resolved ones, ideally with a single 2D polyline in each one of them) and a median point defined by the 3D curve you mentioned.. these 2D cross section polylines should be extruded/ drafted/ lofted by setting the 3D curve as the path..
i guess the difficult task here out of all would be to first have these 2D polylines from the imaging data, which by simple tracing means would be quite a lengthy task.. would be interesting to know where you are with it currently..

Dear Fresty,
Many thanks for your kind reply. I will send you within 2 days, 2 angiography images for centerline extraction and an intravascular imaging contour data for your work. If you look at them I'll be so glad.
