Hello guys,
I am doing a simulation for flow over in-line tube banks in ansys-fluent to compare with experimental. I am facing a problem with heat transfer specifically, I have set a heat flux q=1511 w/m^2, and Tin=300k however minimal heat transfer occurs and the only change in temperature occurs on the tubes surface only which is very odd. I am using periodic boundaries in the y and z directions and velocity inlet for x-direction and pressure outlet. the set-up is exactly the same as in the experiments, and the mesh is of high quality done using size functions to certain edges to get the cell-shape required. I think fluent set-up has something missing which is causing no heat transfer. I have attached pictures of the mesh and temperature contour. does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this? Thank you, Fadi. |
