Natural convection problem

2 Attachment(s)
I have modeled polyethylene glycol in a container. I have used the Boussinesq approximation with gravity in the y direction as -9.81, I have set the operating temperature for the Boussinesq approximation to 315K and density to the PEG density, is that correct?. The model is transient. Hot side temperature is 323K and cold side is 293K. The melting temperature of the PEG is 319K

As the only driving force for the melt is buoyancy driven primarily due to natural convection, the images posted show how the natural convection seems to circulate the heat around the top (as expected) but the bottom seems to stay untouched.

Does anyone know why this is occurring?

Regards
