How can I calculate the backflow hydraulic diameter of a double volute centrifugal pump to enter it in the boundary conditions in Fluent?

What you need to specify is the turbulence in case there is reverse flow. It may help to think of it as your k and epsilon or k and omega.
Note that if there is not any reverse flow (which I don't think there should be in a pump) then the backflow properties will never be used except at intermediate iterations. |
