how does fluent work?

Hi,

I need a brief explanation about the working principle of fluent. I know that based on finite volume method, after discretizing the domain into control volumes general transport equations are solved for each control volume.

The part I cant understand is how these equations are discretized into a system of algebraic equations, I mean , how these partial differential equations turn into algebraic systems using interpolations? I cant see the mathematical trick.

I think that for this question you are better of in any general introduction text to finite volume techniques, rather than the specific FLUENT forum. I personally find Versteeg and Malalasekera to be a very accessible introduction, but I am sure that there are many more books out there that can educate you in the basics.
